We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and talented Senior Manager to join the new NIHR Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN) in the South West Peninsula. The postholder will support the marketing of NIHR services to Industry and contribute to shaping new projects and services that meet the needs of Life Sciences customers. The postholder will proactively develop a profile across the RDN and work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
The postholder will be managed by the RRDN Strategic Development Director and will have a key relationship with the national RDNCC Life Science Director. They will oversee the work and development of the Industry Manager. Together, this team will support a unified network to deliver the life science strategy.
This role requires regional, national, and some international travel. We offer a hybrid working model.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to lead regionally and nationally in delivering a standardized study support service. You will develop and maintain high-quality relationships with regional settings, specialty leads, sponsors, and research organizations to support research delivery. Building trust, working collaboratively, and translating complex environments into clear plans are essential. You will also help us develop as a learning organization through stakeholder engagement and feedback.

The RDN and DHSC envision this role as a key conduit for commercial partners to explore their pipelines, plan, and facilitate study delivery.
This role will work closely with RDN industry-facing teams to ensure consistent service across regions and nationally. Using horizon scanning, business intelligence, and NIHR expertise, the postholder will provide tailored services to key accounts, promote RDN services, and communicate key themes and opportunities.
The contractual base can be Truro, Plymouth, Exeter, or Taunton, with regular local, regional, and some national travel.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
