Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Starboard Hotels, a family-owned business with 21 hotels and 28 restaurants under world-renowned brands, seeks a seasoned CFO to lead its finance function.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Managing Director and Chairman as part of the leadership team to provide strategic and financial guidance. They will work alongside the Group Financial Controller and finance team to establish and maintain sound financial management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and enhance business profitability, focusing on sustainable cash flow development.
* Support strategic growth through improved trading, further acquisitions, and banking relationships.
* Develop and oversee the annual operating budget, ensuring financial targets are met and statutory requirements are complied with.
* Closely work with the Commercial Director and Operations Director on revenue forecasts.
* Assist in evaluating new hotel acquisitions and development opportunities.
* Maintain effective treasury and cash flow management.
* Oversee the monthly payroll and expenses cycle.
* Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers.
Requirements
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification.
* A proven track record in a senior finance role within hotels or multi-site environments.
* Knowledge of banking and funding procedures, along with relationships with key funding partners.
* Experience in financial controls, process improvement, and commercial strategy development.
* Familiarity with franchise business models.
Estimated Salary: £120,000 - £180,000 per annum
