Title Materials Engineering - Talent Pool The Materials group is a multi-discipline group within the Asset Integrity Engineering Area. We are seeking applicants to join to continue the development and evolution of the group, department and wider businesses. Asset Integrity is a multidisciplinary group which supports our clients to understand the life, degradation, integrity and performance of components, systems and facilities. We work across the lifecycle of projects, from concept through to disposal and all stages between. We operate in many sectors including energy (conventional and nuclear energy generation, renewables and oil & gas), transport (rail, maritime, aerospace and automotive, industry (process and manufacture) and defence (all domains). We have a wide range of capability utilising testing, trials, condition monitoring, design codes and computer aided engineering (such as FEA). Our colleagues have a wide range of backgrounds from fundamental materials science, to stress engineering, field based work and plant/facilities operations. We tend to support projects that are high value, high performance, or safety critical for world class organisations. This can be to substantiate the design of novel products, systems and facilities, to investigate and resolve in-service problems or to extend the life of aging assets. This can require the use of advance methods and novel approaches to answer very complicated problems, and engage in method development to improve our service offer.
