SEN Teaching Assistant – Barnet – Immediate Start Pertemps Education is seeking a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Barnet. In this role, you will provide individualised support to a student with special educational needs, helping them overcome learning barriers and fully engage with the curriculum. This position is ideal for someone passionate about making a meaningful impact on a child’s education. Location: Barnet Pay: £90-£100 per day Start Date: November Interview Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 tailored support to a student with special educational needs. Help the student stay focused and actively participate in lessons. Collaborate with the class teacher to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials as needed. Support the student’s social and emotional development, boosting their confidence and independence. Monitor the student’s progress and provide updates to the class teacher and SENCo. Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for the student. Qualifications and Skills: Experience working with children with special educational needs. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build a strong rapport with the student. Knowledge of SEN conditions such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or sensory impairments. Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and parents.
