Retail Operations Assistant
The hourly rate for this role is £11.44
Joining us as a Retail Operations Assistant is a great opportunity, whether it’s your first job and you’re looking to gain some valuable experience, or you have experience with retail and you’re looking for a new challenge.
Whilst this is a temporary contract, there could be the potential for a permanent role later depending on the opportunities in your local area, so it could be the start of a new career with us.
About the role
Christmas in Boots is our most exciting time of the year, and it can be very busy, so we’ll provide you with all the training and support you need to help you be at your best.
You will work in a Boots store and report into the Assistant or Store Manager. Your role will include picking and packing our boots.com customer orders, working in our back shop, running our stock room, and supporting deliveries and stock management.
* Process online customer boots.com orders to a high standard using a handheld device.
* Prepare online customer boots.com orders for collection or home delivery.
* Locate and retrieve stock from the stockroom and salesfloor to pack and dispatch online orders.
* Support daily operational activities including stocking shelves and housekeeping.
* Collaborate with team members to solve issues and meet targets.
What you’ll need to have
Full training is provided, but these are essential skills or experience:
* Enjoy following processes and working at pace.
* Enjoy working collaboratively in a team.
* Effective communication and listening skills.
* Comfortable learning and using new technology, including handheld devices.
It would be great if you also have
Desirable but not essential skills or experience:
* Experience in retail or warehouse environment.
* Familiarity with Boots products for quick identification during packing.
