About the role
Reporting into the Dealer Operation Manager, the Network Performance Specialist will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and enhancing the performance of the dealership network to ensure smooth operations and optimal efficiency. This role plays a key part in identifying areas for improvement, implementing solutions, and maintaining consistent connectivity across the network. In addition, the Network Performance Specialist will work closely with the Dealer Operation Manager to uphold high standards of service delivery, ensuring that dealerships provide exceptional customer experiences.
Network Monitoring & Optimisation
Continuously monitor and optimise network performance, ensuring efficient, reliable, and seamless connectivity.
Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimise downtime and maintain optimal network health.
Data Analysis & Insights: Gather and analyse network data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Provide actionable recommendations and collaborate with the Dealer Operations Manager on data-driven strategies.
Collaboration & Coordination
Work with internal departments and external vendors to ensure network integration and performance standards.
Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of network issues and solutions.
Technical Support & Documentation
Provide technical support for network-related queries and maintain clear documentation on network procedures.
Create and update training materials to empower dealership staff with troubleshooting skills.
System Maintenance & Upgrades
Schedule regular network maintenance and manage system upgrades to improve performance and security.
Ensure compliance with OEM standards and implement necessary security protocols.
Performance Evaluation
Monitor and evaluate network performance, using KPIs to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
Track and report on performance, recommending changes to optimise network operations.
Experience to succeed
A minimum of three years’ experience in network administration or a similar role.
Previous experience within the automotive or dealership sectors would be advantageous.
Proficiency in network management tools and diagnostic software.
Excellent troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve performance issues.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is desirable.
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and identify trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Capable of troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experienced supporting a sizeable, fast-moving business.
Experience with automotive manufacturing or EVs is a bonus.
