About the Role:
The Floral Pavilion is seeking to recruit an Apprentice Venue Technician to embark on an exciting career with us whilst gaining a recognised professional qualification. Throughout the apprenticeship you will learn how to utilise high levels of technical knowledge and develop the relevant skills to support the team in dealing with show producers and promoters in a fast-paced professional environment.

The working week is 36 (annualised) hours. Throughout the apprenticeship you may be expected to work some evenings and weekends.
Working at the Floral Pavilion with the Lighting, Sound and Stages Departments (which are all part of the Technical Department), you will learn about and understand the role of a technician within the performing arts industry whilst getting hands-on experience.
You will learn the practical skills necessary to work as a technician in a theatrical environment and will work with industry professionals, operating technical equipment and participating in the provision of a safe working environment, always acting within the company’s Health & Safety policy.
You will be guided through your apprenticeship in conjunction with a learning provider and mentor, using a structured framework to support your development, goals and success whilst building the knowledge and skills required to enhance your professional future.

We would like to hear from you if you think this role is for you and have the following:
1. Maths and English GCSE grade C/4 or above.
2. Commitment to continuous professional development.
3. A flexible working approach in response to business requirements, as a large part of this role will involve evening, weekend and unsociable hours.
