Job: Accounts Assistant
Location: Milton Keynes (hybrid 2 days from the office, 3 days from home)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract - 12 months - Maternity cover. 35 hours, Monday - Friday
Salary: Up to £28,500 dependent on experience.

What you'll be doing:
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our finance team. Key responsibilities include:
1. Processing invoices
2. Matching purchase orders
3. Managing weekly payment runs
4. Handling month-end reconciliations
5. Processing expenses, sales ledger invoicing, debtor chasing, credit card transactions, payroll, and bank reconciliations
6. Uploading BACS files and inputting manual payments
7. Ensuring compliance with FCA principles, Consumer Duty, and employment legislation
8. Balance sheet reconciliations
9. Providing ad hoc support to the team

What are we looking for?
* Previous experience in accounts, including accounts payable, sales invoicing, and bank reconciliation
* Intermediate knowledge of Excel
* Experience with Sage 200 (desirable but not essential)
* Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with the ability to analyze data, spot trends, and recommend solutions
* The ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
* An AAT qualification or is working towards one (desirable but not required)
