Workshop Foreman/ Team Leader Annual Salary : £37,000-39,500 Location : St Helens Job Type : Full-time (Monday to Friday) We are looking for a Workshop Supervisor to oversee workshop operations for a business who continue to grow year on year and contribute to our century-long legacy of innovation and quality in electrical solutions. Day-to-day of the role: Relay information between the workshop and the engineering department, ensuring clear communication across multiple business departments. Become an integral part of the time planning team for projects, adhering to schedules and maintaining program compliance. Develop and implement good working practices in both the workshop and on-site environments. Oversee workmanship quality and mentor apprentices to enhance their skills. Manage day-to-day duties within the workshop's stores area and assist in maintaining a conducive workshop environment. Adhere to and contribute constructively to the workshop's quality system processes. Manage the installation of project equipment on-site and within the workshop, including GRP substations and electrical containment. Interpret drawings and technical schematics to guide project execution. Handle customer interactions on-site and manage daily team meetings aligned with company KPIs. Monitor project allocation and progression, managing team performance to meet company standards. Required Skills & Qualifications: Relevant electrical qualification, such as Level 3 in a related field, BTec, City and Guilds, or a recognised apprenticeship. (Desirable) Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical schematics. Proficient in general IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong verbal and written communication skills.
