Maintenance Services Technician - Mechanical
Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) are looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanical Technician to join our existing multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team in providing a safe environment for all service users, staff, and visitors across our Norfolk sites being based in Norwich.

Main duties of the job
Maintenance Services provides a high-quality service to the Trust's portfolio of properties and those of our external customers to ensure a safe, secure, and pleasant environment for service users, staff, and visitors.
The Technician will undertake analysis, fault finding/diagnostics, testing, installation, routine maintenance, and repair work associated with complex building, mechanical, electrical, and electronic installations and equipment in an economical, efficient, and safe manner and within the scope of training outside their core trade.
Provide operational and technical advice to team members and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures. Undertake condition surveys and evaluate inspection reports.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Recognised and registered CITB or EITB apprenticeship in plumbing/mechanical engineering AND City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3 OR NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering OR City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3 OR NVQ Level 3 plumbing
* City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3
* NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering OR City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3 OR NVQ Level 3 plumbing
* Full UK driving license for ability to drive Trust vehicles
* C&G or equivalent - Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems
* Trend IQ Vision Operators Course
* Safety in the Use of Abrasive Wheels as required by P.U.W.E.R. (1998)
Experience
* Three years relevant experience having demonstrated high technical versatility and flexibility
* Experience in maintaining a mental health environment
* Supervising a multi-based disciplined trade-based team
