Innovation and Technology Manager (Fleet) ScottishPower HQ, Glasgow From £42,800-53,500 10% performance bonus single healthcare Hybrid Working, Permanent Help us create a better future, quicker ScottishPower are hiring Fleet Innovation and Technology Manager to review current and future technologies to ensure the fleet enables ScottishPower operational teams to deliver their daily work program safely and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for identifying and implementing innovative technologies to ensure ScottishPowers fleet remains efficient, safe, and sustainable. What you’ll be doing Your role is critical for ensuring the efficiency and sustainability of ScottishPower’s fleet. Sustainable Fleet Transition : Develop a detailed roadmap for transitioning to a sustainable fleet by 2030 Market Research : Leverage industry reports, attend trade shows, and network with other fleet managers to stay updated on the latest vehicle technologies and trends. Supplier Engagement : Establish strong relationships with suppliers to ensure that fleet equipment meet our standards. Auditing : Develop a comprehensive audit plan to regularly assess the suitability of in-service vehicles. Inspections and Tests : Conduct thorough inspections and tests to ensure vehicles meet approval specifications. Vehicle Replacement Program : Implement a detailed vehicle replacement program with clear timelines for each stage, from order generation to driver handover. Regulatory Compliance : Stay updated on the latest regulations and industry trends to ensure your fleet remains compliant and future-proof. What you’ll bring Experience in specification engineering within the fleet industry desired Knowledge of UK Transport regulations desired including Road Vehicle (Approval) Regulations 2009, Road Vehicle (Construction and Use) Regulations 1996, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 Ability to manage large volumes of data and present data accurately and clearly. Excellent supplier relationship management skills Strong management, influencing and interpersonal skill, with proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Broad understanding of the British Vehicle Rental & Leasing Association standard or equivalent experience Ability to manage own performance, with a significant focus on delivery and an ability to balance a varied and challenging workload, whilst producing high quality results in demanding time limits Special Requirements Flexibility to work out-with normal working hour regularly to deal with planned workload or in response to emergency plans/business continuity/disaster recovery. Potential need to travel on occasions depending on project locations.
