Why Marble? Marble, with a very unique approach, develops cutting-edge UAS to gather real-time wide-area data about maritime & atypical environments with unprecedented speed and flexibility. Having recently secured a long-term international contract we’re looking to rapidly expand the team, bringing on only the most passionate individuals, with interests in aviation, environmental welfare, and of course, electronics We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable engineer to develop our aircraft electronics, sensor and ground equipment, as well as (on occasion) participate in operational deployments. At Marble we are highly vertically integrated, having in-house development for everything from the motors, the airframe, all the way through to the software managing our sensor payloads. In this role you would have the opportunity to touch every aspect of this. This is an exciting opportunity to develop novel solutions in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary engineering team developing truly impactful technology. Should you be successful, there’ll be numerous opportunities for international travel to some of the hottest and coldest places on the planet What you’ll do Based on-site at our Chippenham office, you will take ownership of the core power electronics within the MRB5 aircraft. Use first principles as a basis for every decision. Examples of potential projects: Redesign all low and high voltage systems (including power delivery, actuators and sensing payloads) to achieve 10x greater reliability than existing uncrewed systems. Design novel PCB solutions to improve system reliability. Develop an end-to-end health monitoring system for the aircraft, ground station and sensors. Requirements Intermediate understanding of PCB design, integration & delivery Experience designing and prototyping for remote systems (UAS/Robotics) Debugging experience - confident working with CLI, soldering, use of test/measurement equipment. Desire to learn and implement new technologies. Capable of working autonomously and effectively managing competing priorities.
