Who we are looking for: Responsible for Unitstrut and Flexicon pick, pack and dispatch. Managing the entire warehouse team. Inventory accuracy, warehouse housekeeping, process improvement and customer complaints. What you’ll do: Participate in daily/weekly meetings with the management team Liaise with the Logistics Manager/Plant manager regarding work allocation for all members of staff on a daily basis via a morning debrief/meeting. Ensure that all daily associated KPIS including DOTIF are adequately met Identify strengths and weaknesses within the team, manage staff and analyze performance statistics and act accordingly Development, engagement and communication with all employees and the management team. Delegate tasks and work effectively. Liaise and support customers and suppliers where needed Overall responsibility for the dispatch and delivery of goods, goods in and returns Ensure goods are stored safely and in good condition Keep staff fully trained and communicate business information readily Main point of contact for all logistics based 3rd party suppliers and vendors Drive continuous improvement process, drive through process change, manage the Kaizens and writing QPS documents, and manage continuous training and ensure training records are kept up to date. Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures. Liaise with all transport companies, document and monitor cost savings Key player in annual stock take process Deliver high quality service to customers Continued review and improvement of all department processes for greater efficiency Maintain paperwork and administration including POD's, responsible for the accurate completion of all paperwork both electronically and manually Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean, tidy and safe at all times and for ensuring recycling is carried out to the agreed standard – 5S Strong influencer of team, ability to lead and motivate the team, portraying a positive attitude at all times. Ensures all departmental and all company procedures are followed. Responsible for site security, key holder. Responsible for opening up & locking up premises when required. Responsible for Health and Safety within the area. Responsible for making sure that sufficient stocks of consumables and purchased parts for the logistics department. Pursue personal development skills and develop necessary knowledge for the effective performance of the role. Present Gembas for the department. Participate & Lead Kaizen events, and drive through cost improvements for the logistics department. What you bring: Effective written and verbal communication skills.
