Paralegal - Wills, Trusts and Probate. Full time, office based, Chester City Centre, Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.30pm
The role
Our Wills, Trusts and Probate department are growing and we are looking for a dedicated Paralegal to join our busy team, based in our Chester office. The department work with private clients to ensure all their wills, trusts and probate related matters run smoothly. Working specifically within our probate team you will be responsible for providing efficient support in this busy and varied role with tasks including:
* Updating the case management system with all appropriate documents and notes
* Checking of legal documents to ensure accuracy
* Performing accurate legal research and analysis when required
* Requesting and obtaining relevant information from other organisations by phone, email or post
* Preparing and formatting legal and management reports
* Dealing with general probate enquiries over the telephone and email
* All administration duties such as dealing with incoming and outgoing post, photocopying, filing, scanning and archiving of legal documents
* Daily record keeping with electronic and hard copy filing of documents
* Ensuring our service standards are delivered consistently and proactively every client, every time
What we're looking for
We’re looking for someone who has a recent, relevant qualification in law or with previous administration experience within a legal or professional services environment. You must have a genuine interest in working within Wills, Trusts and Probate and be able to deliver the highest standards of client experience as you will often be working with clients on a range of sensitive and confidential matters.
You’ll be a highly organised and efficient individual and a fantastic communicator. You will be able to juggle multiple tasks and have a good eye for small details. IT skills/ case management experience are important too.
