Job Specification: UK Sales Agent (Temporary/Fixed Term Contract) Location: Leicester, UK (Office-based with the option to work from home on Fridays) Position Type: Fixed Term Contract Role Overview: This is an entry-level sales role designed to assist the Head of EMEA Sales in developing and managing relationships with independent specialist customers across the UK. The UK Sales Agent will be responsible for hitting key performance indicators (KPIs), driving new customer acquisition, increasing order volumes, and supporting geographically targeted sales campaigns. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of customers, support administrative tasks, and contribute to the overall performance of the sales team. The role is office-based in Leicester, with the option to work from home on Fridays. Key Responsibilities: Sales Performance & Customer Acquisition- Achieve a set of KPIs, including: Gaining new customers. Reaching targeted order volumes. Activating geographically-focused campaigns. Actively manage a sales pipeline, ensuring a consistent flow of new leads and opportunities. Make a set number of sales calls per day to engage with potential and existing customers. Customer Relationship Management:- Build and maintain strong relationships with independent specialist customers. Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain long-term engagement. Cleanse and update lead data regularly to ensure accuracy in the CRM system. Reporting & Monitoring:- Submit a daily sales progress report, tracking KPIs and customer interaction. Work closely with the Head of EMEA Sales to adjust strategies based on performance and market feedback. Administrative Support:- Assist the sales team with order processing, monitoring the sales order inbox, and ensuring prompt response to customer enquiries. Provide administrative support to the Head of EMEA Sales, as needed. Field & Trade Activities:- Spend one day per month in trade with the line manager to gain practical insight into customer needs and market conditions. Provide assistance at trade shows, which may require occasional out-of-hours work and travel away from home. Key Requirements: Entry-Level Experience. Previous sales experience is not mandatory, but a strong desire to build a career in sales is essential. Communication Skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers and internal teams. Organisational Skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and maintain detailed records of progress. Results-Driven - A motivated self-starter with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets. Team Player - Willingness to collaborate with the wider sales team and provide support on administrative tasks when necessary.
