Location: Will be the closest SARC to the successful candidate. It is a regional role with Hybrid working, being on site and working from home but will include the following SARC locations:
* Hackenthorpe SARC, Sheffield
* Bridge House SARC, York
* Hazlehurst Adult SARC, Leeds
* Hazlehurst CSAAS SARC, Leeds
* Casa Suite SARC, Hull
Salary: £50,000 - £53,000 (Full Time Equivalent) pro rata, Plus Discretionary annual bonus & Car allowance.
Hours: 32 hours per week, Usually Monday – Friday but flexibility required for out of hours cover.
The Associate Head of Healthcare will work alongside the Regional Director and senior management team to ensure the clinical team are provided with the support to develop their talent and will provide robust clinical governance processes across our SARC services in the Midlands. This includes delivering training, supervising the practice of SOEs, completing competency assessments and case reviews.
The role of SARCs is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required. Acting as an advocate for patients who attend the centre, empowering them to feel in control and where applicable, providing support during the forensic examination process.
As this is a regional role, a local SARC base will be allocated with the expectation to travel across the region to all sites when required. The role allows working from home when not required on site.
Job Opportunity
The role will include:
•supporting service and policy development relating to national directives from NHS England, National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE), and FFLM guidance.
•ensuring effective governance structures are in place to achieve the service delivery.
•deputising for the Regional Director in their absence.
•supporting the Regional Director in rota management.
•supporting the managers of each SARC to deliver services with a focus on quality and holistic care.
•being responsible for the successful integration of new areas of business to ensure that consistency of quality and appropriate clinical leadership.
•working within a budget and working with the senior management team to provide value for money solutions.
•Completing training for internal staff and external stakeholders
•Completing competency assessments and sign off for sexual offence examiners
All of our senior clinical team have the ability to step in at short notice to support gaps in provision. This will not be on a regular basis, however, in addition to the responsibilities above the work of a Healthcare Professional is included as part of the role.

Essential Skills
Essential Skills:
•Registered General/Adult Nursing qualification.
•A minimum of 4+ years Adult Nursing post qualification experience.
•A minimum of 2+ years working within Sexual Offence Medicine
•Further Clinical Forensic Qualification such as LFFLM or ASET.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Full UK driving licence.

•Mentoring experience
•Mentoring or teaching qualification
•Experience of competency assessments
