Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit motivated, enthusiastic and flexible Registered Nurses or Operating Department Practitioners to join our dynamic and friendly Anaesthetic teams, to provide safe and supportive care to patients, relatives, and the surgical multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will join our highly specialised Cardio Thoracic Theatre team. The department performs a wide range of cutting-edge cardiac and thoracic procedures.
Normal working hours are Monday to Saturday 07.30hrs to 21.00hrs with a commitment for on-call emergency provision out of hours. As per business case will get implemented, there will be nights and weekend shifts too.
The role will include knowledge and expertise in the operating theatre, including documentation, moving, handling and positioning patients, and ensuring infection control measures are adhered to.
We require anaesthetic staff dual role staff ideal, with a passion for cardio thoracic specialty.
You will gain a wide range of experience and can expand your skills and knowledge in this challenging and rewarding environment. We can offer you a structured preceptorship and induction programme for all new members of staff, plus access to ongoing continuing professional education and development, appraisal, and clinical supervision.
As this role is part of a new business case, in the near future we will cover the 24/7 service by working on night shifts, weekends and bank holidays.
