Salary: £15.00 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Manpower is recruiting an Evidence Engagement Manager on behalf of our client. You will join their Evidence and Impact team - a key part of the Funding Strategy, Communications and Impact (FSCI) division. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how we use data, research and insight to make more equitable and impactful funding decisions.
About the Role
In FSCI, we support and serve the whole of the Community Fund so that together we make communities more resilient, equitable, and environmentally sustainable. We do this by developing funding strategy, making strategic UK-wide grants and championing an equity-based approach. We provide professional leadership in communications, impact, service design and policy, ensuring our services meet the strategic needs of the organisation and keep communities at the heart of everything we do.
This role sits within our Evidence and Impact team. We aim to provide an integrated insight, evidence and impact service across the Fund that supports communities, stakeholders and colleagues. Our goal is to use evidence and insight to create positive change-informing our equity-based approach to funding, demonstrating impact, and responding to the devolved nature of our work.
As Evidence Engagement Manager, you'll be embedded within one of our funding portfolios, working closely with colleagues at every stage of the grant-making cycle. You'll support them to access and apply evidence and insight in their decision-making, helping bring clarity, focus, and equity to our funding work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Be the key link between your local portfolio team and the wider Evidence and Impact function.
2. Translate user needs into clear project specifications using our common Evidence and Impact processes.
3. Support the development of new, evidence-based approaches to funding, helping to ensure insight is embedded from start to finish.
4. Lead on maintaining and improving our organisation-wide Knowledge Bank, ensuring knowledge and learning are accessible and well-used.
5. Work with funding staff to co-develop products and solutions that support evidence-based practice and learning.
6. Help ensure local teams adopt and adapt fund-wide dashboards, reports, and evidence products to meet their specific needs.
7. Represent local needs in the development of Fund-wide insight tools and share local feedback and best practice.
8. Support efforts to 'lead the agenda' by contributing to external partnerships and sharing insights with the wider funding and policy environment.
Knowledge, skills and Experience:
We're looking for someone who brings:
9. A professional qualification, bachelor's degree or equivalent level of experience in a relevant discipline such as social research, public policy or economics.
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with different audiences.
11. Experience of working with multiple stakeholders, often with competing priorities, to gain agreement, supporting them to work collaboratively to a common aim.
12. The ability to translate user requirements into proposed methods, interpreting the business need into a deliverable analytical project.
13. Ability to apply data, research and evaluation skills to provide compelling insight - familiarity with a range of disciplines.
14. Ability to write and speak about complex ideas, information and impact in an engaging and simple way and support others to do so.
