We are looking for a kind, caring support worker who can provide reliable care to our client in Brighton. The role is for 38 hours a week, on a rota, over the following days and times:
Monday to Sunday:
1. 07:00 - 14:00
2. 07:30 - 14:30
3. 14:00 - 23:00
4. 14:30 - 21:30
5. 23:00 - 07:00 sleep in
Pay rates are broken down as follows:
* Monday to Friday 07:00 - 23:00 - £14.01 per hour
* Saturday to Sunday 07:00 - 23:00 - £16.00 per hour
* Sleep-in 23:00 - 07:00 - £11.44 per hour
All training and supervisions are paid at £11.44 per hour.
Our client is a man in his 60's with epilepsy, learning difficulties, and who is profoundly deaf. He is mobile and can move around his home freely but will use his wheelchair when out in the community when fatigued. He has a great family and support network, and you will be joining this team and collaborating with the family to support him.
Our client loves books and puzzles, enjoys rides out in the car, and engaging with the community. He takes great pride in his appearance and is described as a peaceful soul who is quiet, happy, and fun-loving.
You will support our client to appointments, assist with personal care, medication administering, meal preparation, and general domestic work.
It is our client's preference to recruit a mature, male personal care assistant, though this is not essential.

You will be trained to CQC standards to meet the needs of the client. If you are 'already known to the client' and have care experience, this will be valued. Unless specified elsewhere, previous care experience is not essential.
Essential Requirements Identified for this Role:
* An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
* You must be a driver with a full, clean, UK driving licence
* You must have a good knowledge of epilepsy and working with learning disabilities
* You must be a good communicator
* Prepared to commit to long-term care for one client in a 'person-centred' way
* Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs
* Respect company policies and procedures
* Be reliable, non-judgemental, caring, responsible, and compassionate
* Committed to confidentiality and to treat the client with dignity and respect
Contractual:
* An hourly pay rate of £11.44 to £16.00 (please see above)
