The Care Coordinator / GP Assistant role has been created to encompass all aspects of administrative patient care and to support GPs and other healthcare professionals with their workload.
This role consists of:
* Managing patient care for patients with long term conditions
* Supporting GPs with their administrative workload
* Clinical Coding
Main duties of the job
Clinical Administration Key Responsibilities:
* Disease Management Recall
* Depression Screening
* Administration of test reports and results
* Ensuring patients are invited for screening
* Coding patient records and summarising patient notes
* Dealing with patient tasks and queries
* Providing occasional backup to our Reception team

Ridgeway View Family Practice is a busy general practice based across two sites in Wroughton and Chiseldon, offering care to circa 14,300 patients. We're a large, busy practice and all staff work together as One Team to provide excellent patient care and a stimulating and welcoming environment.
We're part of Brunel Healthcare Group and Brunel PCN 1, working with other practices across the local area on large projects, such as the implementation and running of the Steam Vaccination Clinic.
We're committed to training and developing both the clinical and non-clinical team. We operate using System One Clinical system.
Full training will be given for this role for the right person who is keen to learn all aspects of patient care administration.
Job responsibilities
This role is key in the practice and supports our GPs with their day-to-day administration, forming an integral part of practice operations.
The post holder will be working within a team of Care Coordinators who collaborate to support each other and ensure the highest level of administrative patient care possible, whilst supporting our medical professionals.
The core component of this role will be clinical coding of correspondence for medical records. Full training will be given. This is an in-depth role and requires employees to be resilient regarding some of the complex and graphic medical and safeguarding information that comes into the practice.

* Previous experience in an administrative role
* Previous experience in dealing with the public

* Must be available to work until 6 on some days
£20,750 to £24,000 a year pro rata, dependent upon experience.
