About your team The Banking Payments Out team perform a number of truly critical functions at Fidelity. Maintain, amend & process client redemption, distribution, commission, SIPP, FX & appro payment instructions Process, review & release Inter Account Transfer payments - critical in adherence to Client Money regulations Process, review & release Workplace Investing payments - involves several additional integrity checks Receive, reconcile and bank cheque payments for ISA, UKUT and SIPP investments Be a central channel of communication between Fidelity & our banking partners, maintaining a strong relationship Monitor balances & transactions on the SICAV settlement bank accounts held at Brown Brothers Harriman Prepare twice-daily reporting to Treasury advising of expected money flows Review user entitlements to banking payment portals and to shared locations containing sensitive payment files Validate transaction fee invoices and raise payments using Finance rebate system Review & maintain Risk & Control Self Assessment, Business Contingency Plans Regularly report on challenges, successes, risks, system incidents to the Capability Lead and above Annually the team will instruct around 2.5M individual money movements with a combined monetary total of over USD $450B. In the same period they will bank over 15K cheques with a combined monetary total of over USD $600M. Given the nature of the work and the monetary values involved, we work closely with Risk and Audit teams to help maintain a tightly controlled operating environment. The teams’ actions have a direct impact on our customers, so it is vital that all payments are processed accurately and on-time. In so-doing we build trust in Fidelity and help to grow our business.
