We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated individual, to take on an exciting opportunity in the role of First Response Assistant Support Worker (Assistant Support Worker) at Cardiff First Response Outreach Service - Crichton House Outreach Services. First Response provides assertive, flexible outreach support to individuals who are rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping. This role is crucial in helping the Salvation Army to move to the forefront of delivering a new generation of “unwalled” support services helping vulnerable and isolated individuals to become more hopeful and motivated to change and to build a goal focused approach to moving away from homelessness. Your Key Responsibilities: The First Response Assistant Support Worker, will work as part of a specialist team to provide assertive and reactive support to individuals who are homeless and street based, providing compassion and consistent contact, to those experiencing difficult times and rapid access into specialist support services and housing. The First Response Team provide an ‘out of hours’ 7 day a week service, providing evening on foot outreach to individuals who are homeless in the centre of Cardiff and targeted responses to newly homeless people who require help across the city.
