We are currently recruiting for a “hands-on” specialist with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) experience to work within our PKI team. The role requires Public Key Infrastructure and the associated operational technical skills first; the role can also extend into design and documentation covering a range of topics related to PKI governance and the development & improvement of standard operating procedures. Equally important are team working soft skills, the desire to collaborate, take ownership of work, to continue learning & share knowledge. This role is based at our Erskine Site in Scotland and successful candidates are required to hold SC clearance or be eligible for vetting. What will you do? This is a hands-on role and will require the development and deployment of solutions in line with agreed designs. The PKI Specialist will be expected to work with other teams when deploying scalable and fault tolerant systems for our customers, these teams will include both internal and customer teams. The PKI Specialist is expected to be able to work within structured change and project management assignments. The role will require flexibility; you will work with a flexible attitude in small dedicated and disparate teams. You will also be required to work as part of a larger team, as required, under the direction of the PKI Team Leader. You will be expected to bring a good depth of understanding of PKI Governance, PKI Technologies and Certicificate Operations as well as knowledge of Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), x509.x and the associated PKI elements such as certificate profiles and service integration. Update low-level designs and review, providing feedback on high-level designs. Participate in achieving operational SLAs for existing client solutions and services. Build and refresh core components of the Public Key Infrastructure. Build and rollout Public Key Infrastructure, potentially for multiple clients. Engineer and develop scripts pursuant to the operation of the PKI solutions. Manage certificate configurations, including determination of key usage. Manage certificate lifecycles, issue, test, and revocation of certificates within defined processes. Be proactive and helpful in everything you do. Solid Public Key Infrastructure and Windows Server experience. Proven track record with several years of hands-on Public Key Infrastructure and underpinning technologies and operation. Experience and proficiency in security implementation best practices for Public Key Infrastructure. Desirable Skills Understanding and employment of Security Principals and Security Best Practices. Experience in scripting, for example REST API & PowerShell. Understanding and administration of common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, DHCP, TCP/IP, Subnetting etc.). Understanding and administration of common Cloud Virtual/Managed Private Cloud Environments. Technical degree or equivalent education and experience. Work Environment Erskine Site Based environment. Expected to travel as required to client and DXC sites. Occasionally may require weekend and evening work. Must be in possession of a Full Clean Driving License.
