Cancer Nursing is an exciting and expanding specialty within Hywel Dda University Health Board, and an opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to work in the specialized and rewarding area of the Pembrokeshire Haematology and Oncology Day Unit (PHODU) at Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a passion to work in oncology to join our nursing team at Pembrokeshire Haematology and Oncology Day Unit. PHODU is a busy and ever-changing challenging environment where Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment is delivered to both Oncology and Haematology patients.
Main duties of the job
The successful Registered Nurse will need to demonstrate a flexible approach to working by providing safe, individualized, and effective standards of care. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate in delivering Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT). The role will provide an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in cannulation, phlebotomy, central lines management, and safe administration of SACT.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and Knowledge
* Current NMC Registration
* Awareness of Health Board Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines
* Degree in Nursing
* Evidence of post-registration study and training, e.g., POVA
* Evidence of post-registration study and training, e.g., Child Protection
Experience
* Experience of providing holistic nursing care
* Clear understanding of clinical governance framework
* Implement evidence-based practice
Language Skills
* Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
