Job Description
At Frasers Group, our business never stands still and no one day is like another. This is the chance to apply your tax knowledge across a wide range of commercial scenarios which will elevate your experience and stretch you outside your comfort zone. You will work closely with senior management and have the opportunity to be involved in the group's most significant business decisions.
You will report to the Group Head of Tax and be responsible for managing the Group's direct tax affairs. This includes the following:
* Managing the UK corporation tax compliance for all group companies.
* Researching and reporting on ad hoc queries involving other areas of tax (both UK and overseas).
* Advise on the tax implications of proposed business transactions.
* Developing a strong working relationship with the HMRC specialists who deal with Frasers.
* Overseeing the group's global tax compliance obligations such as transfer pricing and Pillar 2 reporting.
* Working closely with the other teams within Frasers (Finance, Legal, Property, Payroll, etc.).
* Developing and managing the more junior tax team members providing them with opportunities to grow.
Qualifications
* Experience working in a commercially focused organisation; FTSE listed and Retail experience is advantageous.
* 10 years of experience working in UK Tax.
* A recognised accounting or tax qualification.
* The ability to be fluid and adaptable, responding to business needs as required.
* A strong communicator who can build relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
* A natural leader who leads by example, setting first-class standards for those in the team.
