We are currently looking for our next Fabric Assistant Merchandiser to join our Fabric team in Nottingham. You will be responsible for the monitoring, ordering and chasing of all fabrics for the Paul Smith collections and the Company, working in close collaboration with the Fabric Merchandiser.
The Role:
* In close collaboration with the Fabric Merchandiser, liaise with all Paul Smith collections ensuring that the fabric is ordered as required, the third party confirms the order, and the price per roll is checked against current exchange rates.
* To compile seasonal performance reports on fabric mills and ensure the reports are communicated to the Fabric Merchandiser.
* Assist with the monitoring of the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) report during sales periods and liaise with the Fabric Merchandiser, Sales and Production teams.
* Input full purchase order information on the database and complete the required forms.
* Chase fabric deliveries to achieve targets, whilst working to set deadlines.
* Book in Fabrics received directly to our factories.
* Chase packing list invoices and POD (Proof of delivery) when required and communicate with the Warehouse and Production staff regarding expected deliveries.
* Complete monthly Fabric delivery reports.
* Request relevant sustainability certificates for fabrics.
* Monitor print approvals each season and liaise with Design and the Fabric Merchandiser to ensure all information and orders are correct.
* Any other related duties, not specified above, as outlined by your Line Manager.
Your skills and Experience:
* Previous proven experience of working in a busy office environment.
* Competent at inputting data.
* Previous administration experience.
* Experience in completing monthly reports.
* Clear and concise communication skills both written and verbal.
* Ability to work to set deadlines.
* Numerate, meticulous and accurate.
