We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic Student Recruitment Officer to join our Student Recruitment Team, with a particular focus on Widening Participation outreach work. The role will involve working with school and college students from Widening Participation backgrounds promoting Higher Education and BGU as an option for their future, whilst working to breakdown any barriers and concerns they have about progression to university. In addition to delivering outreach activity in schools, this role will be heavily involved in the organisation and delivery of on campus taster days for school/college groups. The role will also support with the administration and running of our Ambassador Programme. As a Student Recruitment Officer, you will be expected to promote the University and its courses to a wide variety of audiences, including prospective students and parents. You will carry out a range of activities locally, nationally, and virtually such as delivering presentations, representing BGU at national recruitment fairs (including UCAS), and supporting Higher Education evenings. You will also build and develop relationships with a network of schools and colleges. The post will be central to delivering plans and initiatives linked with the University’s recruitment and enquiry targets and will include extensive UK travel and independent working.
