Energy Control Centre Specialist
Duration - 6 Months with scope to extend or get perm
Location - Windsor (3 x 12h shifts a week)
We have an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to be part of the developing UK energy industry as part of a 24/7 Control Room team based in the client's head office in Windsor.
The Control Room Operator is required for a key role in the Energy & Controls Centre, which forms part of the O&M function of the Power business.
The role will provide an opportunity to work with the support and monitoring of generators such as peaking power plants, BESS (battery energy storage systems), CHPs (Combined Heat and Power units) and solar PV. The role will also provide exposure to ICS (Industrial Control Systems), the surrounding OT (Operational Technology) Cyber Security and BEMS (Building Energy Management Systems).
Shift Pattern:
The current shift pattern will require 3 x 12hr shifts a week, with potential night shifts and some flexibility to cover sickness/holidays.
The Control Room Operator role would suit a candidate who possesses the skills necessary to effectively interpret data from multiple sources, react promptly to event notifications and follow established procedures to rectify and escalate issues, in line with contractual obligations.
