We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work as part of the Clozapine Clinic and to work within the Peterborough Adult Locality Team. You will be working as a part of a supportive multidisciplinary team that provides services to people who experience significant mental health challenges.
The applicants must be committed to providing a patient centred service. Essential skills include a good level of accuracy, literacy and communication. We also expect the applicant to be compassionate and caring. The applicant must be a good team player but must also be able to work autonomously and have a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate labelling of samples for testing.

The post holder will, with the appropriate training provide a phlebotomy, ECG and physical healthcare service to patients with in our community Adult Locality Team and within our specialist Clozapine Clinic.
The hours of work will be 9.00 to 5.00 four days a week. You will be required to work Tuesdays and Wednesdays within the Clozapine Clinic.
You will also be working as a part of a supportive multidisciplinary team that provides services to people who experience significant mental health challenges within a community setting, adopting an enabling approach to help people achieve their recovery goals, promote independence and help people to develop or maintain their skills in daily living.

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. To undertake physical health checks including venepuncture, and other tasks as required.
To carry out tasks as directed by senior staff in the delivery of high quality care and support to patients and their carers, using a person centred approach in the promotion of their well-being and recovery.
To deliver mental health support work interventions in a community setting
To contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic programme of care for patients
To work within the Clozapine Clinic at the Edith Cavell Campus
To work within the Peterborough Adult Locality Team at 17 Bridge Street
To arrange clinic appointments for the Clozapine clinic and to contact service users to ensure they are aware of their appointments
Support the nurse in charge in maintaining essential clinical stocks
To promote a positive service user experience through proactive listening, being responsive to issues raised and through resolving issues and concerns raised by service users with colleagues and senior members of the team.
To be responsible for maintaining and conducting oneself in a professional manner towards service users, carers, colleagues and other agencies, at all times.
To ensure high standard and accurate verbal/written communication about patient care with all team members
To develop and maintain good relationships, communication and team work with all disciplines
To comply with local and Trust policies and procedures including attending mandatory training and refreshers.
