As a Transport Administrator, you will be working with the Transport Manager and the Depot team to support the effective running of the daily operation and ensuring that Hisense customers receive their delivery on time. You will work with both the depot and Hisense logistics team, and continually provide support throughout the day to our drivers, solving any issues that may arise.
The Transport Administrator ensures the effective Planning of the daily operation. They provide on-going support to our Drivers in making sure that deliveries throughout the day are completed on time, whilst remaining legally compliant with Transport Legislation and Working Time Directives.
* Salary: £26,180.13 per annum
* Hours: 4 on 4 off Shift Pattern working 6:00am- 18:00pm

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
1. Act as the first point of contact for all Driver queries throughout the day, ensuring that deliveries remain on schedule and support with resolving any issues.
2. Record any vehicle defects and communicate this to the Transport Manager/De-Briefers and Nightshift to ensure that no vehicles classed as off the road are used.
3. Ensure all vehicles are compliant with legislation, ensuring vehicle weights are within legal limits.
4. Allocate routes to our Drivers for the following day, managing their expectations fairly and consistently.
5. Update daily reports for the Depot and log any issues.
6. Order Depot supplies when required.
7. Control the fuel cards - issuing and reporting any lost or stolen to ensure that replacements can be issued.
8. Accurate recording of depot time sheets for all employees.

4. Ensure all vehicles are loaded efficiently, within legal and safety guidelines.
5. Build strong internal and external relationships to support you in delivering your role.
6. Work well under pressure and be able to quickly offer solutions to resolve any issues.
7. Good communication skills both written and verbally.
8. Competent use of Microsoft, particularly Excel.
