Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for full details of responsibilities To work as a member of the respiratory team to undertake advanced assessment, treatment, monitoring and evaluation of complex respiratory caseload; working seamlessly across primary and secondary care boundaries to facilitate prevention of unnecessary hospital admissions. Management of advanced respiratory disease, through the promotion of self management and coping skills; exacerbation management; oxygen assessment and monitoring; quality end of life care The development of links with patients and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient pathways are robust and fit for purpose Management of the staff in the team and also working collaboratively with other team leads to ensure countywide service provision Implementation of National and local policy directives in conjunction with clinical lead Participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) working Provision of specialist advise and education to colleagues and other members of the MDT To manage the day to day running of the local respiratory team, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and effectively; providing support and encouraging development of staff Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs.
