Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your Finance Project Managing expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Head of Finance and work alongside other members of the Finance team. The primary role will be to participate in overall Project Management process jointly with the Project Manager. Be a main partner for the Financial Strategy success of the project. Optimise financial aspects on the project
Org. Tax, Hedging, Financing.
We’ll look to you for:
Strategic Finance Partnering
* Work closely with project teams, providing expert financial advice and insights to drive informed decision-making.
* Align financial strategies with business objectives to maximize project value.
* Act as a key liaison between finance and other departments, ensuring seamless integration.
* Contribute to business agility by transforming data into actionable insights, improving forecasting accuracy, and enabling proactive risk management.
Maximizing Financial Performance & Risk Management
* Lead financial analysis, controlling, and optimization of all project financial aspects.
* Monitor contract margins, cash flow, and profitability, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
* Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, adding insight to forecasts, revenue, and cost management.
* Establish early-warning systems to mitigate financial risks and enhance project outcomes.
Compliance, Governance & Financial Integrity
* Ensure full compliance with internal financial policies, tax regulations, transfer pricing rules, and statutory requirements.
* Oversee financial governance, maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring adherence to IFRS standards.
* Collaborate with internal finance teams (Tax, Treasury, Audit, Risk Management) to ensure financial compliance and efficiency.
Contract & Claim Management
* Partner with Project Managers (PMs) and Contract Managers (CMs) to guide financial negotiations and risk mitigation strategies.
* Support the financial aspects of contract and claim management, ensuring optimized competitiveness and compliance.
* Provide key financial insights in decision-making processes to secure project success.
Financial Planning & Optimisation
* Implement financial strategies developed at the tender phase, ensuring profitability and financial sustainability.
* Prepare and present project financial reviews, reassessing profitability and identifying areas for improvement.
* Monitor and optimise working capital, liquidity flows, and contract price adjustments.
* Ensure efficient and timely billing processes, both external and internal.
Mentoring & Leadership
* Coach and develop junior Finance Project Managers, fostering a high-performing finance team.
* Share expertise and best practices to build financial acumen across the organisation.

* Finance Qualification ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent
* Significant years’ experience in Finance
* An auditing and/or project operational background would be an advantage
* Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize
* Team working
* Excellent knowledge in MS Excel, knowledge of SAP
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
* Previous experience in railway company in equivalent position (desirable)
* Previous experience in industrial projects in equivalent position
