Cardiac Services includes cardiology and cardiac surgery, and also includes the Cardiac ICU & Cardiac HDU, as well as theatres & cath labs. Main duties of the job Our vision is to be outstanding in health outcomes and patient & staff experience You will be jointly responsible for ensuring the further development of an excellent clinical pharmacy service to the cardiology & cardiac surgery areas, alongside the other SCP for Cardiac Services You will provide complex, pharmaceutical care for patients, optimising their medicines, utilising your prescribing skills and ensuring the effective transfer of care. You will work closely with the MDT, on & off the ward to support governance, education and medication safety within cardiac services. You will be expected to line manage one or more of the band 7 pharmacists on the team, providing mentoring, and supporting them with their development and objectives which may include starting out as an independent prescriber.
