Requirements Vacancies: 20 hour post available Shift Pattern: 2 x 10hrs shifts equivalent to 20 hours per week over a 4 week period. 0945pm to 0745am South Lanarkshire Council is committed to securing better outcomes for children and young people who are looked after. You will be joining a responsive, progressive and innovative Social Work resource where children’s needs are central to policy, practice and partnership working. You must be willing to work towards this qualification or have the qualification before commencing post. There are two parts to residential childcare worker qualification requirements. You must have a practice qualification plus an award of certificated knowledge, or one qualification which meets the full criteria. The main qualifications are detailed below: SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7 and HNC Social Services. Responsibilities Foreign Police Check Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad. Regulated Work with Children This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007.
