Insolvency Administrator – Southampton

Salary: 25000 - 35000
Numero Recruitment are currently working with a firm in Southampton that are seeking an insolvency administrator to join their established Corporate insolvency team
Working within an experienced team you will be given the opportunity to control your own portfolio whilst developing your supervisory skills with more junior team members as you push forward towards a senior administrator role.
The Role:
1. Control a mixed portfolio of corporate insolvency cases.
2. Manage WIP and provisions on portfolio and meet monthly reporting deadlines.
3. Implement case strategies and ensure progression of cases
4. Must have the ability to plan a case from inception through to closure
5. Produce the necessary reports for banks and creditors
6. Manage a portfolio using appropriate forms, preparing and maintaining files
7. Use insolvency software (IPS) to diarise and record book entries, and maintain clear and up to date receipts and payments accounts
8. Compliance with statutory procedures throughout the cases and ensure case files are accurate, up to date and progressed quickly and efficiently
9. Must have a good understanding of how to carry out an insolvency investigation, understanding relevant sectors of the Insolvency Act and CDDA
10. Prioritise and resolve conflicting client demands
11. Support and develop the use of new methods and service/product offerings to clients
12. Provide assistance to the team when appointed on trading cases
13. Provides assistance and support to junior team members
14. Produce case reviews in accordance with the firm’s review procedure and provide feedback on progress of assignments to the partners
15. Build strong working relationships with clients and intermediaries
16. Maintain control and stability under pressure whilst recognising deadlines
17. Ensure that clients are billed according to agreed billing plans
Requirements:
18. Experience in corporate insolvency desirable
19. CPI qualification would be an advantage, but not a necessity
20. Strong academic background. At least 5 GCSE’s grade A-C including a minimum grade B in English Language
and Maths (or equivalent)
21. Experience of working within a professional services environment desirable
22. Experience of using Turnkey IPS desirable
23. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel)
