As the Product Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product portfolio and driving the development of educational resources that meet the evolving needs of learners and educators. This includes a strong focus on how we transform our digital platforms and experiences, to meet the needs of educators and learners now and in the future. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of market-focused product vision and strategy that focuses on improving educational outcomes and ensuring business growth Communicate vision, market opportunities and strategy, building engagement in product teams on short-, medium- and long-term goals Lead the transformation of our digital experience to meet customer needs now and in the future Lead the delivery of our product and platform roadmaps, ensuring we deliver customer value to cost and budget Ensure content is built to be future proof and reusable across multiple markets and channels Ensure product management methodologies and ways of working are established consistently across all teams, reviewing regularly to build on emerging best practice Collaborate closely with colleagues within UK Schools business, international, global teams and centres of excellence as required Build and maintain productive relationships with external stakeholders and influencers We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office. About You A strong leader, you'll have a track record of driving effective revenue, profit/surplus and market share growth through business and operational excellence strategies. Essential: Deep knowledge of the UK Education sector and publishing industry (print and digital) Ability to define strategy and communicate strategic objectives effectively Understanding of learning trends and pedagogy Knowledge of digital educational trends, digital publishing processes and product conceptualisation Experience in the development and delivery of innovative, successful educational products and services Experience of leading change programmes Desirable: Knowledge of the Impact Framework Track record of managing authors and of publishing successful products Benefits We care about work/life balance here at OUP.
