Working hours: 16 hours per week Interview Date: To be confirmed This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at our Bentley Charity shop in Doncaster. It is expected that the post-holder will provide holiday and relief cover at our other 5 shops all in Doncaster. We are looking to appoint a Assistant Charity Shop Manager who will assist in the safe and effective management of the shop to ensure maximum probability and the furtherance of the mission of The Salvation Army. The post holder will take responsibility for the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager. Key responsibilities will include: Ensuring the highest standards of customer care, assisting in the managing the daily operation of the shop, working towards weekly targets. The post holder will also include assisting in managing the security and accounting of cash, health and safety issues, administrative tasks, regular training in person and online. Training volunteers to the standards set out by the manager. The successful candidate: Will have proven interpersonal skills, be able to work on their own iniative and in a team, enjoy working with people and be able to deal tactfully and creatively with staff, volunteers and the public. It is important that the candidate understands the needs of customers and has basic proficiency in maths, English and the ability to use a computer (all shops have a touch screen till and card machine). Candidates must also be committed to the values, aims and ethos of the Salvation Army.
