Summary:
Protectahome are seeking to employ an experienced Structural Waterproofing Surveyor to operate within the Midlands region.
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to work for a long standing company with a strong existing foothold and reputation in the market along with excellent support functions from head office.
Description:
Based from home, representing regional offices and reporting to head office, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and servicing business enquiries from both professionals and consumers.
The role will involve curating and maintaining your own client base so previous experience in a sales based role is essential.
Viable candidates must be fully conversant with the requirements set out within both BS8102:2022 and other relevant industry documents such as CIRIA 139, NHBC Chapter 5.4 etc. Candidates must be capable of creating a variety of designs/specifications for basement waterproofing including Type A, B, C and combined waterproofing systems to relevant environmental grades for both existing and new build properties. The role will also include supervising site operatives during installations as and when necessary. Experience in assessing and completing commercial tender packages would be ideal.
Previous experience of remedial treatments for Ground Gas Protection, Rising Damp, Wood Rotting Fungi, Wood Boring Insects, Timber Resin Repairs and/or Structural Repairs would be looked upon favourably but are not essential.
Whilst training and development will be provided on an ongoing basis, this will be designed to build on an already extensive knowledge of the workings listed above. CSSW qualification would be highly preferable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong attention to detail are prerequisite as is the ability to build and maintain a strong client base for repeat business, particularly in the commercial market.
A premium company vehicle, laptop and phone will be provided with the role along with necessary surveying equipment, workwear and PPE etc.
The successful candidate will manage their own workload and diary but will be expected to travel across the entire region as necessary to service enquiries. A full UK driver’s licence will be required due to the nature of the role.
