We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead and manage planning operations for South East Water. Initially concentrating on the Eastern region repair and maintenance activities, this role will be pivotal in developing efficient planning strategies, implementing innovative processes, and creating performance measures that optimize our operational capacity. The ideal candidate will drive performance and efficiency in our repair and maintenance teams, ensuring a timely, cost-effective service for our customers. The role is also responsible for providing management information to support operational decisions.

What will you be accountable for?
* Plan and coordinate all repair and maintenance jobs for South East Water's East region, ensuring smooth workflow and optimized resource allocation.
* Develop and implement innovative planning strategies that enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
* Create and monitor performance measures to assess operational effectiveness, job timelines, cost controls, and quality of work.
* Optimize processes to improve accuracy, forecasting, and the capacity to manage fluctuating workloads.
* Lead and mentor a planning team of approximately 15 planners, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and high-performance outcomes.
* Use data analytics to evaluate past performance, predict future needs, and implement data-driven decision-making processes.
What do you bring to the role?
* A degree or equivalent qualification. Industry experience will also be considered.
* Strong communication skills to effectively engage with various levels, from senior management to frontline staff.
* Experience in team management to lead a team of employees and contractors, fostering a supportive and results-driven work environment.
* Leadership experience in a planning or operations management role within utilities, water, or a similar industry.
* Ability to work independently with competing workloads.
* Experience in data-driven decision making using analytical methods to evaluate performance and forecast effectively.
