The role:
As the Strategic Financial Planning Manager, you will develop and maintain a world-class strategic planning process, giving clarity to investors and executive management, allowing for rapid, effective strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ownership of the strategic financial planning process, ensuring the 5 year plans are robust, reliable and built on sound assumptions
* Seek opportunities and risks to strategic plans, identifying, recording and reporting them in ways that enable clear, rapid decision-making by the business
* Develop awareness of the industry, identifying opportunities from outside the business which could support overall objectives
* Ownership of the maintenance and ongoing development of an in-house developed strategic financial planning tool
* Identification of robustness, adaptability and prediction opportunities for improvement in the tool
* Explore and develop opportunities to bring AI solutions to drive greater insight and efficiency
* Support the ongoing development of investor relations activities, ensuring consistent messaging across shareholders
* Increase the standardisation of reporting where appropriate to maximise the efficiency of processes
* Develop a tight-knit relationship with the FP&A team, providing both support and challenge to the short-term planning process
* Build relationships with the Finance Business Partner team to further knowledge and understand the key drivers of the group’s financials, ensuring these are appropriately incorporated into the 5-year plan
* Develop awareness and exposure amongst the Executive Board to build an understanding of the financial and non-financial factors that underpin long-term financial performance
The Ideal Candidate:
* ACA or ACCA Qualified with FP&A experience in a dynamic, fast-paced group environment
* Excellent organisational and task-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, comfortable working with stakeholders of all levels
* Advanced Excel with the ability to model scenario forecasting and long term planning
* An ability to use Power BI would be advantageous
* Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
The Package & Benefits:
* Salary: £80,000 - £90,000
