Our client, a leading shopfitting and bespoke joinery company, is seeking an experienced Buyer to manage the procurement of materials, and equipment for high-quality interior fit-out projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost control, supplier negotiations, and ensuring the timely supply of materials, supporting the smooth delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
Source, negotiate, and procure timber, sheet materials, ironmongery, fixtures, and fittings for shopfitting and joinery projects.
Identify and develop relationships with reliable and cost-effective suppliers.
Issue and manage purchase orders, supplier agreements, and contracts.
Ensure materials are delivered on time and to the required specifications to meet project schedules.
Conduct cost analysis and negotiate best-value terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
Assist in budget planning and forecasting for procurement activities.
Maintain and develop a strong supply chain network, evaluating supplier performance.
Conduct supplier pre-qualification checks to ensure compliance with company standards.
Work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and production teams to ensure material requirements are met.
Maintain accurate procurement records and reports for internal and external audits.

Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Buyer in shopfitting, joinery, or interior fit-out.
Excellent negotiation skills with a strong commercial awareness.
Experience using procurement software and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Construction (CIPS qualification preferred but not essential).
