Job Responsibilities
1. Building cleanliness: Ensure buildings are clean and ready for occupation, including cleaning responsibilities. Work with cleaning contractors.
2. Building maintenance: Work with the Manager to carry out regular inspections of buildings, identifying and resolving any issues, and calling in relevant trades where needed. Identify any refurbishment requirements and advise the Centre Manager.
3. Customer service/administration: Welcome all visitors and contractors and deal with any issues promptly. Respond to enquiries raised by telephone and email. Receive customer feedback and work with the team to respond and act where required.
4. Grounds Management: Work with the manager to inspect grounds weekly and support the production of a schedule of work. Collaborate with handyman/groundsman and carry out some tasks as appropriate.
5. Health and Safety: Following relevant training, carry out regular health and safety checks, such as fire alarm testing and legionella, pest control. Work with the manager to address any issues that arise. Record any accidents/incidents that occur on site for staff, volunteers, customers, or contractors. Ensure the security of the Centre at the end of shifts.
6. Work with volunteers: Collaborate with volunteers to support work around the site.
