Payroll Specialist \n\nUxbridge - Hybrid\n\nAbout the role:\n\nSupporting all payroll functions, ensuring staff are paid accurately and on time each pay period. Specialising in the operational aspects of the payroll department to achieve the highest levels of compliance and minimise exposure and risk to Manpower. Providing support to the Payroll Team Leader and Managers with the day-to-day operations of payroll.
Contributing to the training and development of all team members, including cross-training oneself and others across all payroll functions to ensure a well-balanced team skill set. In addition to taking responsibility for an aligned business line or payroll area, collaborating with colleagues as a sub-team to ensure departmental goals and targets are met. Assisting in keeping processes and procedures up to date, capturing and implementing any specific business line issues or practices.

Our services enable our clients to win in the changing world of work and we connect more than 600,000 people every day to meaningful work across a wide range of skills and industries helping to power the success of clients around the world.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nTo perform tasks allocated from the activities of the team as a whole, this includes:\n\nAssisting with the day-to-day operational aspects of Payroll functions\nAssist in the timely administration of overpayment process and YTD manual adjustments/net pay amendments\nCompletion of manual calculations\nTax Year End tasks\nAssist with the maintenance of various Pension schemes\nResponsibility for ensuring timely completion of nominal ledger reconciliations, statutory and authorised returns to relevant bodies, in particular, the payment of all payroll disbursements\nCompletion of National Statistics Surveys\nAssist with any payroll and system related issues including system testing\nSupport with the transition of any TUPE transfers to ensure that they are effectively transferred and that there are no payroll issues\nValidate, audit and update payroll processes to ensure compliance and the meeting of the organisation's statutory and contractual obligations to its employees, government departments and stakeholders\nSystem management- such as rolling over all annual entitlements such as sick and holiday accordingly.\nResponsible for the processing of ad-hoc payments/advances such as Chaps/Faster Payments and entry of missing\nP11d reconciliations and resolution of queries and submission to HMRC.\nReceive, record, and respond to HMRC relating to RTI, EDI, TAX, NI etc\nContribute to maintaining an accurate employee database\nMaintain and develop effective relationships with internal/external bodies such as HMRC/Pension Regulators.\nAssist the team to be compliant with Data Protection at all times\nTo assist with project work\nAchieve deadlines, monitor progress, and removes barriers where possible, to ensure that work is completed on time. \nProactively improving the quality of payroll through identification and resolution of issues and the continuous improvement of payroll processes, to minimise exposure and risk to the department\nEnsure that all work is conducted in accordance with Manpower's values and standards\nOther tasks associated with the effective running of all payroll operationsPrincipal Competencies:\n\nCreates Winning Relationships\n\nInteract professionally with internal and external customers\nMaintain relationships at the relevant level with internal and external customers in the Group\nCommunicate relationship details to the Team Leader/Payroll Manager and escalate issues accordingly\nPromote the Department on a regular basis in internal, and external meetings\nCommunicate the payroll process to internal and external customersAchievement Orientation\n\nAssist with the maintenance of Payroll Files on all employees of Manpower Group\nResponsible for reconciliation/s according to payroll guidelines\nEnsure payroll is completed, accurately and on time to ensure all Manpower Group employees receive their pay by due date\nEnsure input received is of sufficient quality to pay employees effectively.
