Our Insurance client is seeking a specialist in IFRS17 who is at Senior Manager level.
Support the Head of IFRS 17 in coordinating the IFRS 17 production process and delivering the Group's IFRS 17 result, across Finance, Actuarial, and Data and Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Be a key IFRS 17 SME for both internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Fairfax, PwC).
2. Maintain and update the suite of IFRS 17 accounting policy papers.
3. Provide IFRS 17 accounting advice within the group, including assessment of the treatment of new insurance and reinsurance contracts.
Qualifications:
1. Qualified Accountant with significant post-qualification experience; preferably ACA or equivalent with Big 4 background.
2. Experience within the commercial insurance sector, specifically knowledge of the London Market (Lloyd's Market experience desirable).
3. Track record of delivering a high-quality product to tight deadlines.
4. Well-developed technical understanding of the IFRS 17 standard and practical experience of its application to Financial Reporting.
3 days a week in the City of London - Hybrid role.
