This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Salesforce Developer who will play a major role with the technical design and development of company’s technical offerings. The position is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
Design and develop custom applications, features, and integrations within the Salesforce platform using technologies such as Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components.
Integrate Salesforce with other applications and systems using web services and APIs to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
Analyze and troubleshoot Salesforce issues, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance system performance and user experience.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and create comprehensive documentation, including user guides and release notes.
Ensure that all Salesforce developments comply with security standards and follow best practices to maintain system integrity and reliability.
Salesforce's proprietary, strongly typed, object-oriented programming language, similar to Java, used for custom business logic.
Essential for developing dynamic user interfaces, especially within the Lightning Component framework.
Beneficial for integrating Salesforce with external systems and applications.
A modern UI framework for building dynamic web apps, enhancing user experience with reusable components.
An older framework for creating custom pages; understanding it aids in maintaining legacy systems.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
2-5 years of experience in Salesforce development, with a proven track record of delivering customized solutions.
Design, develop, and implement customized Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) to support business.
Utilize hands-on experience with Salesforce DX for effective platform development and integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
Salesforce Developer Certification (e.g., Platform Developer I or II) is preferred.
Proficiency in Salesforce development technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture.
Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with SQL.
Experience with Salesforce data management tools (e.g., Data Loader, Workbench).
Familiarity with Salesforce CRM applications and modules like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
Experience with integration techniques, including RESTful APIs, SOAP, and middleware.
Solid understanding of Salesforce Governor Limits and best practices for scalable development.
Knowledge of tools like Salesforce DX, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for version control and deployment.
Essential for developing dynamic user interfaces, especially within the Lightning Component framework.
Beneficial for integrating Salesforce with external systems and applications.
A modern UI framework for building dynamic web apps, enhancing user experience with reusable components.
Used to query Salesforce data, similar to SQL but tailored for Salesforce's data model.
Enables text searches across multiple Salesforce objects.
Facilitate integration between Salesforce and external systems.
Tools like MuleSoft assist in complex integrations, ensuring seamless data flow.
