AFKA Scotland are seeking an experienced and highly motivated practitioner who wants to expand their knowledge and practice and to join us in achieving our vision of a future where every practitioner working with children, young people and their families is knowledgeable, skilled, confident, and empowered to support the safe, secure, and loving care to which every child has a right.
You will provide direct advice and training to Practitioners in Fostering, Kinship, Adoption and Childcare services and bring them together in supportive practice forums. You will use your knowledge and experience to provide independent consultancy on complex case work with the support of the AFKA team and inform the development of policy and practice in these areas of practice. In this job you can make a real impact and support Scotland to achieve its Promise to children, young people and families to grow up loved, safe and respected.
In return we offer a hybrid working environment with monthly in-person team meetings, practice development discussions, access to an office base and full support to work from home. We have a generous contributory pension plan and salary sacrifice arrangements should you chose these. AFKA is a flexible, family friendly employer providing specific supports for adoptive, fostering and kinship carers. AFKA is a learning organisation, and you will benefit from many learning opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills.
