Year 1 Teacher (Maternity Cover)
* Salary: £162.31 - £234.08 per day, depending on pay scale
* Location: Pendle
* Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (June 2025 - June 2026)
We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a maternity cover position, starting in June 2025. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment for young learners.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons that cater to the needs of Year 1 students.
* Assess and record students' progress, preparing reports and communicating with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress.
* Create a vibrant, organised, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and curiosity.
* Implement classroom management strategies to maintain student discipline and facilitate a positive learning experience.
* Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons and school events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching at the primary level, specifically with Year 1 or similar age groups.
* Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to engage young children and foster a sense of excitement about learning.
* Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
