Job Description Laboratory & Co-Products Manager Our Client in the Craigavon area have a requirement for a Laboratory & Co-Products Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This key role involves overseeing laboratory management and quality assurance for co-products such as whey, whey cream, and sweet cream. Key Responsibilities: Manage and develop the Laboratory Management System and lead the laboratory team. Implement effective testing schedules and environmental monitoring. Lead and manage HACCP team and activities for co-products. Conduct site cutting sessions and support New Product Development (NPD). Investigate quality-related customer complaints. Coordinate activities for the positive release of ingredients and finished products. Communicate quality and testing issues with the Quality Assurance Manager and Department Managers. Lead product traceability efforts on site. Participate in customer and third-party audits. Drive continuous improvement in plant hygiene standards. Serve as QA Lead for continuous improvement and capital expenditure projects. Manage reagents and consumables, coordinating purchasing and goods receipt within budget. Conduct and maintain records for Departmental Health & Safety Inspections. Essential Criteria: Degree in Food Science/Technology or a related field. Minimum of 3 years' experience in food manufacturing. At least 1 year of experience as a department supervisor or manager. Knowledge of quality management and laboratory management systems. Excellent communication skills. Strong people management and development abilities. Proactive with strong organizational and planning skills.
