Our client, a four-star family hotel overlooking the famous Fistral Beach, home to Quiksilver Surf School are seeking an experienced, passionate and customer-driven Reception Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
Key Details:
• £29,000 per annum + employee benefits
• Varied shift patterns including 7am - 3pm, 2pm - 10:30pm and 9am - 5pm
• Full time hours, permanent position
Role & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the smooth running of the reception department
• Supervision of the reception team
• Regularly review adherence to all agreed systems and correct/change where necessary
• Allocate tasks to members of the team- adjust according to service/operational requirements
• Understand and proactively work towards all growth targets for the business
• Health and Safety management inc equipment checks, maintenance internal and external
• Collation of guest database through accurate records, reporting and database.
• To ensure all of our guests receive a warm welcome and are treated to the up most hospitality and care during their stay with us.
• To provide an unforgettable experience and this starts with Reception – not just on arrival but through the whole process of booking to departure.
• To follow all hotel policies as outlined in your training manual – Reservations, Sales, Check In and Check Out Procedures
• To achieve sales in line with company objectives
• To promote additional products and services within the hotel and group brand
• To maintain exemplary billing systems and obtain all payments from guests in accordance with company Policy, and the accurate accounting and processing of all reception sales.
• To maintain high standards of hospitality, processing bookings, up selling, salesmanship, financial and reporting diligence.
• To support the reservations team with booking support
• To ensure all complaints are minimized and handled professionally as in accordance with hotel policy
• To ensure a good working relationship with all other departments and communicate information throughout the hotel
• Stock replenishment of department areas
• Ensure daily updates are communicated throughout the hotel
• Follow legislation relating to job role.

• To understand responsibilities in relation to Fire Procedures, Health and Safety, COSHH, Infection Control and Emergency Aid.
• All other duties as required

Experience and background:
• Experience in setting up prosesses
