Job summary This role is fundamental to our high quality delivery of ambulance and event operations. Working as part of the operations team, our Make Ready operatives prepare equipment and operational vehicles ready for use by our clinicians across frontline 999, high dependency, patient transfer and event activities. We are looking for those with a keen eye for detail and high standards who wish to directly impact the service we deliver to our patients. Main duties of the job Restock, clean and prepare ambulances and operational vehicles to the agreed standards ready for operational duty. Undertake deep cleans of vehicles and weekly and monthly checks as required Ensure fleet maintenance schedules are met and data is correctly entered into the fleet management system Arrange any outside maintenance and repairs with suppliers, obtaining quotes and getting authorisation from Management for work to be carried out. Supporting the fleet movement to and from suppliers. Ensure sluice areas are cleaned thoroughly and effectively and other cleaning duties are completed to the agreed schedule and as per the policies and procedures in a timely manner Monitor stock usage and ensure timely reordering and replenishment Adhere to the appropriate Health and Safety guidelines and with the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Use, keep and record substances used in line with The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) guidelines Assist with Vehicle Off Road (VOR) incidents Use any equipment and devices necessary to carry out duties efficiently and to the agreed standards About us ECS was founded in 2015 by two Doctors passionate about improving the standard of care to events.
